This programme is suitable for intermediate and advanced English users (B1, B2 or C1 level). If you have any doubts about your level, please contact me at info@ruthwhittle.com
This programme is designed for law students, lawyers and legal professionals from all areas of expertise who need to improve their English fluency.
Each week, the training and assignments will take 30 minutes- 1.5 hours and the calls or voice notes will take 1 hour. In total, you need to dedicate approximately 2-2.5 hours per week.
This course is designed for education and training and there is no refund available.
How does this programme work?
Here is a look at each feature of the programme in more detail.
>> English Fluency Assessment + personalised English Success Plan
Once you apply, you will complete a form to establish your main goals for the programme and you will book a 30 minute call with the Coach. You will also be sent instructions to complete a Cambridge standard English level test. On the call, the Coach will conduct a short oral test to assess your speaking level. After the call, you will receive a report with your approximate CEFR English level and a personalised English Success Plan with your 3 main fluency goals.
Here is an example of one of my past student’s fluency goals:

You will receive an email each Sunday with the worksheet/training of the week, carefully selected by the Coach to fit your fluency goals. You can study the material and check in with the Coach for feedback.
>> A personalised Fluent English Lawyer progress tracker to document corrections, new vocabulary, assignments and recommended sources
This tracker will be shared with you at the beginning of the programme through Google Drive and it is designed to help you track your progress and have a record of your work so you can review everything covered. It is a live document and both you and the Coach will see the updates made to it. Both you and the Coach can add corrections, new vocabulary and any other appropriate sources.
Here is an example of the ‘Corrections’ section:
>> 3 x personalised prompts per week focused on improving your speaking and writing skills through roleplays, conversation, writing prompts, grammar exercises (Option One)
You will receive an email each Sunday with 3 prompts that you can respond to by voice note or email. These prompts will be personalised to your area of law and fluency goals and will consist of questions, short videos, statements or photos where you are invited to summarise, present, roleplay, draft an email, write a report with the ultimate goal of improving your English fluency.
Voice notes will take place over Telegram, a secure platform that allows for audio and interactive messages. You can download the app for free here and you do not need to share your phone number or personal details.
Once the Coach receives your response by voice note or email, she will respond with feedback within 48 hours. Voice notes should be 5 minutes maximum and written responses should be 200 words maximum.
Here is an example of a voice note interaction through Telegram:

This ‘Classic’ option will involve a 1 hour call every week and this will take place on Zoom. The calls will be personalised to your area of law and fluency goals and will consist of questions, short videos, statements or photos where you are invited to summarise, present, roleplay, draft an email, write a report with the ultimate goal of improving your English fluency.
